Carbidopa with levodopa:
In order to prevent conversion of a levodopa into dopamine in the peripheral tissues by Dopa decarboxylase,Levodopa is usually given along with a dopa decarboxylase inhibitor i-e,carbidopa. hence, in this combination most of levodopa remains unchanged and thus passes easily into the brain.
